Meet Sheina Shamouni!
Hi, I'm Sheina Shamouni, founder of Ima and Me, a Jewish mommy-and-me community in Los Angeles. For over 10 years, I’ve been studying psychology, child development, and applied behavior analysis, specializing in close relationships and early childhood growth. With a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis, I’ve dedicated my career to understanding how children thrive and how we, as parents, can best support them.
Through my years of research and hands-on experience, I saw how essential it is for both moms and children to have a space where they feel supported, connected, and empowered. That’s why I created Ima and Me—a place where all the knowledge I’ve gathered comes together to uplift mothers and their little ones in a warm, nurturing, and enriching environment.
At the heart of Ima and Me is Judaism and Shabbat, which have always been deeply meaningful in my own life. I knew from the very beginning that I had to incorporate them into our classes, and over time, they have become the core of everything we do. Through music, traditions, and hands-on experiences, we celebrate the beauty of Jewish values and Shabbat in a way that is engaging and memorable for both moms and their children.
At Ima and Me, we blend early childhood development, sensory play, music, movement, and meaningful Jewish traditions to create an experience that is both enriching and joyful. My goal is to provide a space where you feel seen, heard, and supported—not just as a mother, but as a woman navigating the beautiful, ever-evolving journey of motherhood.
Motherhood isn’t meant to be done alone. I truly believe in the power of community, shared experiences, and the warmth of Jewish traditions, and I’m here to walk this path with you. I can’t wait to welcome you and your little one into the Ima and Me family!
